'Where's My Water?' merchandise line being released

Posted on 05:27 by john mical
Swampy and Cranky are getting their own merchandise line.

Plush toys of Swampy, Cranky and Allie.
Yes, Disney is rolling out products based on the hit mobile game "Where's My Water." This is the first time Disney has created a new characters exclusively for a mobile app. A first wave of  plush and novelty toys, consumer electronics accessories and apparel will be available next month followed up by a face-to-face game, consumer electronics, stationery, home accessories and Halloween costumes in the Fall, according to a company news release.

Some select items are available now at Disney Store locations and DisneyStore.com.

For those who don't know the characters, they include: Swampy, an alligator who only wants to take a clean shower; Cranky, who only wants to eat junk food (that's literal junk); and Swampy's girlfriend Allie, who humors Swampy's attempt to bring human culture to alligators.

The game was launched in September 2011 and has been reached the top spot on the App Store in 80 different countries.
Later this year, Swampy will make his debut online in a 12 episode web series called, “Where’s My Water?, the Adventures of Swampy.”
